Alejandra Durán de Huerta de Lille is Head of Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C. Since 2021 she has led economic diplomacy with U.S. policymakers and business leaders; coordinated trade missions; and advised on bilateral initiatives. She helped relaunch the U.S.–Mexico High-Level Economic Dialogue. She served as Director for Economic Affairs to the Undersecretary for North America at the Foreign Ministry, supporting USMCA ratification across North America. Earlier, she worked with the Office of the USMCA Chief Negotiator during Mexico’s presidential transition, managing stakeholder outreach. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from ITAM and training at El Colegio de México, UC San Diego and Escuela Libre de Derecho/ICC.
