Description
The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is recruiting a Junior Professional to support the drafting of a series of national / regional analytical reports (e.g., stakeholder mappings, foresight studies) and the coordination of a series of workshops in three selected countries on the continent.
Under the supervision of the PCNS Projects Lead and senior experts in Rabat, the selected JPP will perform the tasks that will be entrusted to him/her.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applied research, coordination, project management, and policy engagement within an international and interdisciplinary environment.
Missions
1.Research and Analytical Work
•Conduct literature reviews and mapping exercises on topics related to one of the research papers.
-Human rights frameworks, civic spaces, and governance trends in the MENA region.
-The evolution of associative ecosystems, youth participation, and digital civic space.
-Support the design and facilitation of workshops, foresight exercises, and capacity building activities.
•Draft internal analyses, country briefs and thematic notes for Morocco and the region.
2.Project and Coordination Support
•Assist in organizing workshops, stakeholder consultations, and training sessions with national partners.
•Contribute to the preparation of internal reports, talking points, and PowerPoint presentations for dissemination activities.
•Draft briefs summarizing preliminary findings
•Provide logistical and analytical support during field missions and regional meetings.
Profile
1.Academic Background
•Master’s degree (or equivalent) in, International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology, Public Law including Humanitarian Rights or related social sciences field.
•Specialization or proven interest in civil society, political sciences, governance studies or international organizations is highly encouraged.
•Proven research and writing skills (ability to synthesize literature and draft policy-oriented documents).
•Outstanding communication, organizational and teamwork abilities in multicultural environments.
•Analytical rigor, autonomy, and sense of initiative.
•Organizational capacity and ability to meet tight deadlines.
2.Languages
•Excellent command of Arabic, English and French (spoken and written).
