Working at the World Bank within the Environment, Natural Resources and the Blue Economy Global Practice for Europe and Central Asia(ECA), Miriam is as part of Design4Climate team supporting task teams to meet climate commitments and to ensure that all World Bank’s projects in ECA are aligned with the Paris Agreement. Previously, she worked for the OECD’s Environment Directorate. Outside the Bank, Miriam is a climate action advocate having represented her homeland Slovakia and the EU on several international fora - among others as a Youth4Climate delegate helped to develop and pitch a climate action roadmap for Pre-COP26&COP26 and as a first Slovak ever, led the EU delegation to Youth20(an official engagement group of G20.) Miriam has also been a climate speaker at several conferences (Climate Change Summit Bucharest, the 25th European Health Forum Gastein). Miriam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from SciencesPo Paris and dual Master’s degree in European Studies from King's College London and International Public Management from SciencesPo Paris.
