Dr. Abu Bakarr Bah is Presidential Research Professor of Sociology at Northern Illinois University and Founding Director of the Institute for Research and Policy Integration in Africa (IRPIA). Professor Bah is also Editor-in-Chief of African Conflict and Peacebuilding Review and African Editor of Critical Sociology. He is Visiting Distinguished Faculty (at large) at Riara University (Kenya), and was Senior Fellow at the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Professor Bah is a frequent guest on international media such as Al Jazeera, FOX TV, and China Radio International. He has been an invited speaker at over forty major institutions such as Stanford University, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, University of South Florida, Renmin University (China), University of Nairobi, Indonesian International Islamic University, US Department of State, Social Science Research Council (New York), Global Center for Pluralism (Canada), GIGA (Germany), and Institut Prospective et Sécurité en Europe (France).
