Driven by a shared vision to elevate youth leadership in policy and research, the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) and the Youth Policy Center (YPC) are pleased to launch the call for applications for the Mentorship Program, a joint initiative designed to support early-stage, policy-oriented young researchers through a structured research and writing journey.
The program offers selected mentees the opportunity to engage directly with PCNS Senior Fellows and Experts, strengthening their analytical and policy-writing skills while developing a concrete research output.
Each participant will be guided in producing a policy brief aligned with PCNS thematic areas, bringing emerging perspectives into policy research and dialogue.
Selected mentees will benefit from:
Personalized mentorship from leading PCNS Senior Fellows and Experts
A structured pathway to develop strong policy-writing and analytical skills
Access to workshops and thematic sessions supporting the development of key research and policy competencies
The opportunity to develop and write a policy brief under the guidance of PCNS Senior Fellows and Experts, with selected briefs published on the Youth Policy Center platform
A certificate of completion awarded to participants at the end of the program
Program Timeline and Format

The PCNS–YPC Mentorship Program will run from March to June 2026 in a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual engagements. The program will open with a kick-off event in late March at PCNS in Rabat and conclude with a closing event in mid-June.
During the mentorship phase (April–May), mentees will follow a structured research and drafting pathway, including a minimum of five mentorship meetings. Each mentee will be supported by two mentors, one PCNS Senior Fellow and one PCNS Expert, providing close guidance throughout the process and leading to the completion of a policy brief, which may be drafted in Arabic, French, or English.
