Dans le cadre de son cycle de conférences sur les défis de l’Union Européenne face à la rupture de l’ordre mondial, le Policy Center for the New South a le plaisir d’organiser une rencontre avec Dominique Bocquet le vendredi 28 février 2020 au sein de ses locaux à Rabat sous le thème : « La méthode communautaire, invention géniale ou procédé technocratique périmé ? ».

Après une première séance consacrée à l’organisation westphalienne du monde, notre cycle « L’Union européenne face à la rupture de l’ordre mondial » se poursuit avec une séance consacrée aux spécificités de la construction européenne. A dessein, si celle-ci a été conçue au départ comme une coopération économique, voire technique, sa politique étrangère commune limitée pénalise aujourd’hui l’Union européenne dans les rapports de force mondiaux.

Dans ce sens, cette rencontre reprendra les thèmes suivants :

  •    - L’anarchie internationale contrepartie de l’organisation westphalienne du monde
  •    - Les modes possibles de coopération dans un système d’Etats souverains
  •    - La méthode Monnet, place de « l’économique » et du "technique"
  •    - Les conditions de faisabilité de la Méthode Monnet
  •    - La rupture de l’ordre international « simplifié » de la guerre froide et son impact sur l'Union Européenne.

Senior Fellow
Dominique Bocquet is a graduate of Sciences-Po, a graduate of history and a former student of ENA. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the French Review Commentaire and Knight of the Legion of Honor. He lectures at Sciences Po and the ENA and is active in several European think tanks.  He is the author of several books and reports, including "Génération Europe" (Editions François Bourin, 1989), in collaboration with Philippe Delleur; "France and Germany, a couple running out of ideas" (Notes from the Saint-Simon Foundation, 1996); What economic efficiency for Lomé?
