Qing Song is Strategic Planning Officer at the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. He served as a program officer at Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS) from 2016 to 2019, where he was in charge of international exchanges and media contact.
He was also in charge of coordination of conference such as the Stockholm China Forum 2014 done in collaboration with The German Marshall Fund of the United States, the CICA summit, and the New Development Bank (NDB) of the BRICS launch ceremony in 2015. As a researcher, he mainly focuses on North African politics, sino-francophone relations, and global governance. He holds a double bachelor’s degree in French language studies as well as in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from Fudan University (Shanghai), and a master’s degree in international relations from Sciences Po Bordeaux.
