Melisa Trad Malmod is an award-winning Argentine journalist and foreign correspondent working at the intersection of gender, peace, and global affairs. She has reported from 55 countries across six continents, covering stories on conflict, displacement, and inequality.
Beyond journalism, Melisa has spent over a decade leading initiatives in the civil society sector. She co-founded and directed the regional office of the Youth Argentine Organization for the United Nations (OAJNU) and later represented Women First Digital in South America, advancing access to sexual and reproductive health.
With a master’s in International Security from the University of Glasgow, she has long fostered spaces for dialogue among young leaders from the Global South, using storytelling as a tool for understanding and peacebuilding.
