Mayecor Sar is an economist and Senior Advisor to governments on public policy, Global Affairs and delivery at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where he supports Heads of State, Ministers, and senior officials across Africa in shaping and executing national priorities. He brings over 17 years of experience in policy design, coordination, and delivery across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Mayecor is also Co-Founder of GSF Global Advisors, advising governments on structural reforms, public finance, investment facilitation, and geopolitical strategy. He previously served as Project Leader and Francophone Africa Lead at Delivery Associates and led the Institute’s delivery work in Senegal and with the West African Health Organization. Earlier, he headed Deloitte’s Government & Public Sector practice in Senegal, Mali, and Mauritania, and worked within the President of Senegal’s Delivery Unit on key reforms. His career also includes roles at the Economist Intelligence Unit, the Korea Institute for Development Strategy, and in consulting roles in Singapore and Dakar.
Mayecor holds a PPE degree from the University of York (UK) and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He is a Millennium Fellow of the Atlantic Council.
