Lea Metke is a Senior Policy Officer in the European and International Affairs and Cooperation Department at the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). In this role, she monitors European initiatives concerning the internal electricity market and prepares and coordinates CRE's positions within European institutions. She also manages CRE's relations with energy regulators in Western and Northern Europe.
Lea Metke holds a Master's degree in European Affairs from the Sorbonne University and specializes in Franco-German relations, geopolitical risk, and European cooperation on energy issues.
Before joining CRE, Lea Metke worked as a Project Officer to the Director of the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri). In this role, she coordinated the Director's activities and participated in research and strategic thinking at Ifri. She also organized numerous debates and was responsible for relations with Ifri's partner Think Tanks.
Lea is a Raisina Young Fellow (AFGG) and an Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leader (ADEL).
