Gabriela Keseberg Dávalos is an independent senior consultant and policy advisor specializing in international politics, with expertise at the intersection of the Global South and the European Union.
Previously, she served as Senior Foreign Policy Adviser to the Vice-President of the European Parliament for Human Rights and Democracy, and as Senior Communications Officer at the International Crisis Group. She was also Director of Global Public Affairs for a network of 70 think tanks from the Global South focused on sustainable development and UN-related issues. She served as a Steering Committee member of the 1 for 8 Billion campaign, advocating for a woman UN Secretary-General, and of the People’s Vaccine Alliance.
A journalist and political scientist, Gabriela’s work has appeared in Die Zeit, El País, Devex, and Americas Quarterly, among others. She is a UN Alliance of Civilizations Fellow (2012), Atlantic Dialogues Fellow (2013), Marshall Memorial Fellow (2014), and Manfred Werner Seminar Fellow on Security and Defense (2015). Fluent in German, English, and Spanish, Gabriela is an experienced speaker, moderator, and facilitator, and has led high-level events, workshops, and conferences across multiple languages and regions.
