Javier Puig is Deputy Director-General for the Magreb at the Spanish Foreign Minister since May 2017. A career diplomat since 2002 he has served at the Spanish Embassies in Tunisia (2003-2007), Morocco (2007-2010), Guatemala (2010-2012) and Vietnam (2014-2017). From 2012 to 2014 he was assistant deputy director for the Magreb at the Foreign Minister.
