Lamia Bazir is a Moroccan leader in human development, public leadership, and social impact. She is Founding President of Empowering Women in the Atlas, a foundation promoting rural women’s leadership and economic empowerment. She previously served as Executive Director of the National Observatory for Children’s Rights under the presidency of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, leading major national and African public policy programs in partnership with institutions including UNICEF. She has worked with the Moroccan Government, the United Nations, and international organizations, and is recognized among Africa’s leading youth and women leaders.
A Columbia University graduate (Master in International Affairs, with distinction), Lamia also studied at Sciences Po Paris, Al Akhawayn University, and Harvard Kennedy School. She currently serves as President of the Columbia University Alumni Association in Morocco.
