OCP Policy Center is a Moroccan policy-oriented Think Tank whose mission is to contribute to knowledge sharing and to enrich reflection on key economic and international relations issues, considered as essential to the economic and social development of Morocco, and more broadly to the African continent. For this purpose, the Think Tank relies on independent research, a network of partners and leading research associates, in the spirit of an open exchange and debate platform.
By offering a "Southern perspective" from a middle-income African country, on major international debates and strategic challenges that the developing and emerging countries are facing, OCP Policy Center aims to make a meaningful contribution to four thematic areas: agriculture, environment and food security; economic and social development; commodity economics; and “Global Morocco”, a program dedicated to understanding key strategic regional and global evolutions shaping the future of Morocco.
On this basis, OCP Policy Center is actively engaged in analyzing public policies and promoting international cooperation for the development of countries in the southern hemisphere. One of its objectives is to contribute to the emergence of a wider Atlantic for which the potential remains largely untapped. Aware that achieving these goals also requires the development of human capital, the Think Tank aims to participate in strengthening national and continental capacities in the area of economic analysis and management.
In this regard, OCP Policy Center aims to be an incubator of ideas and a proactive source of proposed actions for public policies in emerging economies, and more broadly for all stakeholders engaged in the growth and development process on both the national and regional arenas. In particular, the Think Tank is dedicated to bridging between academic research and policy making.
Parallel to this, OCP Policy Center strives to build a network of young leaders dedicated to Africa’s transformation, by providing a space for cooperation for a new generation of decision makers in the economic, policy, business and civil society sectors.
OCP Policy Center receives support from OCP Foundation.
